Here’s how the challenge went…

I started the post on Warrior Forum.
I grabbed the domain for 10kin7days.com
I created the website
Added an autoresponder
Made some Twitter posts
Made posts here
talked about it on Warrior Forum
Decided what my product would be
Contacted successful internet marketers asking if I could interview them

This all took 2 days out of my 7.

Then I decided what my topic for the interviews would be
did some keyword research
grabbed a domain that was exactly a search term that is search 14800 average per month
created another website
started my interviews and recorded them
made more twitter posts
made more posts here
talked about it some more on Warrior Forum
did more interviews
figured out my backend product – oto
created a sales page, download page, oto page, oto download page
added an autoresponder
created paypal buttons
struggled for 12 hours with an affiliate script – and eventually gave up when i was totally out of time.
wrote my WSO
uploaded the site
edited the interviews (took out my coughs and sniffles and private chats i had with these people about my own business)
uploaded all the interviews
paid for the WSO
slept for 3 hours.
fixed any bugs in the system once people started buying.

this all took 3 days – so I’ve spent a total of 5 days and it’s now Saturday morning and I went away for the weekend with my fingers crossed!

There is plenty more I could have done if I wasn’t on a 7 day schedule.
Also if I hadn’t gone away for the weekend I’m sure I could have done a lot more too.

So on day 7 – Monday at 11am my time, I started recording the results. My paypal earnings, traffic, subscribers, twitter followers, alexa rank, site valuation, traffic, keywords, etc etc.

I have to say I’ve totally enjoyed the challenge, the point for me was always to make myself take action – so in that respect I’m completely happy with my results.

Did I make money – sure did! And it was waaayyy more money than I would have made in that week if I hadn’t set the challenge for myself.

I’d like to say a HUGE thankyou to the 6 wonderful people I’ve interveiwed and the others that agreed to be interveiwed that I have yet to do – yes there will be more!

This is day three and after a big chat to an under the radar internet marketer yesterday, I now have a clear plan in mind (are you surprised I didn’t have one before? hahaha – I did – kinda). Now I just have to put it into action

Keeping in mind that I’m now reduced to $10k in 5 days, as 2 have already gone & I haven’t made a cent yet!

The moral support I’m getting from fellow Warriors & Twits alike is overwhelming, so thanks to all of you – please keep it up – even if I can’t reply all the time, I am reading them & your kind words certainly work well in lieu of sleep & coffee

$10k in 7 Days – Internet Marketing Challenge

I’m gonna do it or die trying.

I’m that little red $10k in 7 days engine – I think I can, I think I can, I know I can!

I’ve had 4 hours sleep (I think it’s showing already!), can’t handle coffee at the moment, so it’s tea, but I don’t really think it matters – because I’ve got such a rotten cold I can’t smell or taste a thing! My beautiful daughter made the most exquisite LOOKING dinner last night – I say looking – I have NO IDEA what it tasted like -hahaha.  Then she made my fav chocolate slice & put a huge piece in my hand – nup couldn’t taste a thing – what a waste!

Anyway – enough dribble (maybe I’ll go get that coffee & snap myself outta this) – I’ve got a lot of work to do!  I’ve got more videos to make, marketing to be done, product creation - the list goes on.

10k in 7 days – Internet Marketing Challenge.  I’ve made the first three videos and it’s very exciting!

I had a brain-wave this morning – yeah it hurt a lot!

Last week I was reading a post on the Warrior Forum (I’ll try to find it for you) – anyway it was someone who wanted to make himself achieve his goals.  He wants to go to Asia and he needs $6000, he currently has $1000.  So he put himself in a position where he has to make the $6000 – what did he do?  He bought a one way ticket to Asia for $800!  WOW!  That certainly takes guts!

So with that in mind, I’ve decided I’m going to make $10k – yes that’s $10,000 – in 7 days!

Now I’ve already posted on Twitter.com about this so I have to do it.  I figured I needed to put it out there where I can’t take it back!

I’ll be recording every step in this process and creating a video series so there’ll be a complete step-by-step process to follow.

Now I might f-f-ffff-ffff-fai – nup I can’t say it – it’s just not an option, but if I do you-know-what, then you’ll see every glorious step of it!  But I will tell you this – I know I’ll get closer to making $10k in 7 days by setting this goal than if I do nothing at all.

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

I sent 20 letters last week & got off my backside today to visit some local business.

I went to 6 businesses – one I went into said “I have a great looking website, but it doesnt work!” I asked what he wanted it to do & then showed him what was stopping it from working. He also told me the guy who designed it took a year to do – WOW!

Its a great looking site – but it’s ALL flash & the links are hidden and and and and.

I told him I’d add an optin box & maintain his email list – regular newsletter & a monthly broadcast – he didnt commit to it, but got my details. When I got home there was an email from him saying yes & could he please have my bank account details. His dad also has a business in the same shop & he’s looking to get a complete website design as he has nothing at the moment – so that’ll be coming up soon.

So now I have a problem – the whole bloody site is flash and I need to get an opt-in box in there – I thought in the header (hoping that will take care of all pages at once) – can someone here help me with that – how much & how long??? hahaha what a problem hey – money being thrown at me & I’ve got no clue! LMAO
